Winning and losing are both completely normal parts of life. No one can win all the time, and no one should feel ashamed for losing. What truly matters is how we respond to both situations. In my opinion, success is a gift from God, not something we are automatically guaranteed to receive. Because of that, we should stay grateful when we win and stay strong when we lose.
I learned this from my experience at the 2026 National Gymnastics Championship (Kejuaraan Nasional Senam Artistik). My team won first place in the junior team category, but I did not win anything in the uneven bar event finals. At first, I felt disappointed, but later I realized that losing can actually teach us many important lessons. When we lose, we are able to see our mistakes more clearly and understand what we need to improve in the future.
Another important thing I learned is that hard work and the process are more valuable than simply standing on the podium. During the competition, I pushed myself out of my comfort zone and gave my best effort. Even without winning every event, I was still proud of the progress I made. Losing does not mean we are weak, sometimes it is the first step toward becoming better and stronger.
At the same time, winning should never make us stop improving. Whether we succeed or fail, we should always keep our motivation and continue working hard to become the best version of ourselves. In the end, the real achievement is not only about medals or trophies, but also about growth, discipline, and never giving up.
